Hwy. 49 closed in Grass Valley due to downed tree, multi-injury crash
GRASS VALLEY, CA - Several people were injured after six vehicles hit an oak tree that fell across Highway 49 in Grass Valley Sunday morning.
According to initial California Highway Patrol reports, Highway 49 was closed in both directions at Carriage Road following the incident.
Six people were taken from the scene to hospital, but the CHP did not provide any specific information on their condition.
No estimated time of clearing was provided.
