TRUCKEE, CA - A former California Highway Patrol officer is facing accusations he had sex with a minor.
CHP spokeswoman Fran Clader said the alleged acts took place while Robert C. Holland, 46, was off-duty.
Per the arrest report, Holland was arrested and booked into Nevada County Jail on Tuesday for oral copulation with a minor under age 18; sexual penetration with a foreign object with a victim under 18; annoying or molesting children under 18 and harmful matter sent with intent of seduction with a minor.
There was no information on how the alleged illicit sexual activity came to the attention of authorities. Holland was arrested during the course of the CHP serving a search warrant at his Loyalton home in Sierra County.
Holland worked out of the Truckee CHP office. He had been with the force 15 years. Clader could not say if Holland resigned or was fired.
Bail was set at $500,000
