Police: Woman arrested after stealing car at friend's Auburn home
AUBURN, Calif. - A woman was arrested Thursday on suspicion of stealing a car from a friend's home in Auburn.
Sergeant Michael Garlock of the Auburn Police Dept. said 30-year-old Marci Bowman and the victim were at a mutual friend's house on the 700 block of Grandview Dr. on Jan. 8. Bowman somehow got the keys to the car and took the vehicle without the owner's permission.
The car was recovered the following day in a Roseville shopping center parking lot, said Garlock.
Bowman was located and arrested Thursday and booked into the Placer County jail for auto theft and held on $25,000 bail.
