Auburn man accused of molesting girl, 9 | Crime

AUBURN, CA - An Auburn man is in custody at Placer County Jail on booking charges he molested a 9-year-old girl.

Following a police investigation, 36-year-old Joshua Caleb Grant was arrested at his apartment on the 1000 block of Red Hawk Lane Wednesday night, according to Auburn police Sgt. Michael Garlock.

The victim told her mother the alleged sexual violations were committed in 2011 but she didn't tell her mother until last month, Garlock said. A police report was made June 26.

Police investigators did not say how Grant knew the girl.
